EY and my company (E-Discovery Consulting) have again joined forces to present the New Zealand Law and Technology Conference. The event is taking place at the Pullman Hotel in Auckland on the 11th of May 2016.
Over the last decade advances in technology have greatly transformed the practice of law as well as the management of a legal practice. The New Zealand Law and Technology Conference provides a platform for anyone involved in the intersection of technology and the law to develop their knowledge in this fast changing area.
I am proud to produce this event for the fourth consecutive year.
The conference is New Zealand’s premier legal technology event, which we have designed to showcase the value of technology and how it can be successfully adopted to assist the practice of law and the management of legal practices.
Expanded legal technology focus
The focus of the event continues to be expanded to include broader legal technology issues facing legal professionals. The event has been tailored to appeal to a wider audience of legal professionals with an interest in legal technology, from lawyers, CIOs, practice managers, legal support staff, IT professionals from law firms and government agencies.
The expanded legal technology focus for 2016, has topics and solution providers covering eDiscovery and Litigation Support software; Practice Management Systems; Legal Accounting Software; Knowledge Management and Legal Research Tools; eConveyancing and eWills; and many other legal technology solutions.
The New Zealand Law and Technology Conference has been specifically designed to provide the latest legal technology developments and practical information which is relevant to the day to day practice of legal professionals. The event provides a leading educational programme as well as the opportunity to network with colleagues and the opportunity to test and discuss the technologies with the suppliers. The programme features new topics and speakers, bringing together leading legal technology experts and practitioners from New Zealand and abroad.
The event features keynote presentations, interactive panel discussions and two topic streams. The two tracks are 1) Legal and eDiscovery, which is primarily targeted at litigation lawyers and litigation support professionals; and 2) Legal Technology, which is tailored for practice managers, IT professionals and anyone with an interest in the practical efficiencies of legal technology.

Increased ticketing options
For 2016 we have introduced new exciting ticketing options. These include –
- ‘Flexi-pass’ – two employees from the same organisation can now share the one delegate pass to attend at separate times of the day.
- Group Discount – a discount if 3 or more delegates are registered per organisation.
- Regional Discount – a new regional ticketing option to encourage delegates from out of Auckland.
