We are excited to announce Xero CEO and founder Rod Drury as the opening keynote for the New Zealand Law and Technology Conference.
Rod will provide an energizing start to the day, as the conference provides a platform to educate, showcase and encourage greater adoption of technology by lawyers and their firms.

Xero is now New Zealand’s leading technology company, with the global small business platform serving well over 600,000 customers in 180 countries who processed over $NZ300B of transactions in the past year.
As New Zealand’s leading technology entrepreneur, Rod will speak about “Law and the Cloud”. His session will discuss the impact of technology, including the legal and privacy issues cloud companies like Xero have experienced, together with his Xero journey over the past 9 years. Rod’s presentation will reinforce the importance of technology and how the use of technology can simplify business for all concerned.

Rod Drury is the CEO and co-founder of Xero and serves on its Board of Directors. As the visionary behind Xero he has been acknowledged by his international peers through many technology and business awards, including 2013 EY New Zealand Entrepreneur of the Year, NZ Herald Business Leader of the Year in 2012, member of the NZ Hi-Tech Hall of Fame, NZ Hi-Tech Entrepreneur of the Year in 2006 and 2007, World Class New Zealander for ICT in 2008, and Honorary Fellow of the Institute of IT Professionals NZ. Before starting Xero, Rod was involved in a number of successful startups including Context Connect, Glazier Systems and Aftermail.
