E-Discovery Consulting and Ernst & Young are again looking for sponsors and exhibitors to join with them to support the 2nd Annual New Zealand eDiscovery Conference. The conference is being held at the Stamford Plaza in Auckland on the 19th of March 2014.
The conference has now developed into New Zealand’s leading eDiscovery and legal technology conference, providing a platform for New Zealand legal professionals to develop their knowledge in this fast-changing area.
Following on from the success of the inaugural event
The inaugural “Managing eDiscovery in New Zealand” conference held in February of this year attracted over 100 participants and was hailed as a great success by attendees and vendors alike. The event attracted many members of New Zealand’s legal fraternity including senior lawyers, barristers, in-house legal counsel as well as service providers to the industry – most firms involved in litigation were represented in some capacity.
Unlike some legal technology events, the 2nd Annual New Zealand eDiscovery Conference will attract a high proportion of lawyers and decision makers, with 70% of attendees in 2013 being lawyers.
In New Zealand there is considerable interest from law firms, corporate and government organisations alike to explore the products and services that can help them with the escalating challenges with managing electronic information. The Conference gives providers to the legal industry the opportunity to meet with the legal community to showcase their services and products.
Considerable sponsorship interest
We are in advanced discussions with a number of potential sponsors and will be making further announcements over the coming weeks. All of the sponsors from the inaugural conference have shown interest in participating again in 2014.
We have already received significantly more interest from overseas providers looking to explore further opportunities in the growing New Zealand market.
A designated exhibition area has been set aside to provide leading technology and service providers with an opportunity to showcase their products and services to conference delegates. For the inaugural event we had a waiting list for space in the Exhibition area.
Taking the event to another level
We have taken the event to another level for 2014 which should be even more attractive to both delegates and sponsors alike.
The programme will feature new topics and speakers, including leading eDiscovery experts and practitioners from New Zealand and abroad. Internationally renowned eDiscovery expert and senior counsel, Browning Marean from DLA Piper in the United States will be delivering the International Keynote session. His Honour Judge David Harvey is back again to present the Judicial Keynote, looking at the importance of eDiscovery from a judicial perspective.
In addition we are concluding the 2nd Annual New Zealand eDiscovery Conference with a networking drinks function. Delegates and sponsors will be able to interact and discuss the key talking points of the day, together with making connections for future opportunities.
