AccessData are continuing their worldwide ReDiscover Summation roadshow this week with sessions in both Auckland and Wellington. The seminars will provide an opportunity for AccessData to showcase the redesign of Summation to existing clients and potential new clients.
The session will be led by Kate Paslin who is Assistant General Counsel for AccessData. I have been invited to moderate the Q&A session in both Auckland and Wellington, which will be a good opportunity for attendees to ask questions about the new Summation.
Summation has been totally redesigned to keep up with the evolving challenges with electronic information and the requirements of their customers. I was fortunate enough to view the new Summation back at LegalTech in February. From my initial observations the developments are a significant advancement of the product, and solve some of the numerous limitations with earlier versions of Summation.
Being technology neutral myself, these events are always a good opportunity to keep up to date with any new product release. The more information we can share with the New Zealand audience will help to raise the awareness of electronic discovery and equip them with potential tools to help them with their e-discovery obligations. It is always refreshing to see a firm like AccessData come all of the way to New Zealand to showcase their product. We often get forgotten down here, but there is a real interest in the different software products available, especially since our new electronic discovery rules commenced on 1 February.

With any software it is always beneficial to seek independent advice about the benefits and limitations of the solution. Finding the right software is now more difficult than even with technology evolving constantly. It is important to be able to find the software that suits your requirements and gives you a competitive advantage.
